This carving of a Masai couple is a unique, one off carving.  It has been carved out of Rosewood which is the second hardest wood after Ebony, by master craft’s man, Ojijo.  In this piece of art you can see Ojijo’s love for the craft; he has paid so must attention to detail, the expression on the couple’s face is of serene calm.

This heavy carved set depicts a Masai man and woman wearing the traditional Masai outfit and accessories.

The woman is wearing traditional jewelry around her neck.  The man is depicted wearing a ‘shuka’ originally made of hand woven cotton as well as beaded jewelry around his neck, on his ears and hair.

This inspired African creation with its warm earthy colors and beaded accessories would add character and drama to any living space.

The reason for the low listing price is, in transportation a few beads from the around the woman’s neck and man’s ear have become detached.

The woman is 12 inches tall and 8 inches wide.
The man is also 12 inches tall and 7 inches wide.
