It has been hand made out of a single piece of soap stone, and has no joins. The woman’s hair and skirt has a course texture to it, which contrasts gorgeously with the smoothness of her body. The soapstone is made smooth by continuously rubbing it with an abrasive material and water. It has taken days to make and feels as smooth as a worn beach pebble.
