This is a very unusual salad serving set. It's a great way to make serving and eating salad fun and exotic! The set comprises if a large salad bowl, a small bowl to hold salad cream, and serving spoon and fork as well as 6 napkin rings
The set has been hand made from a type of olive tree wood founds in East Africa. The wood has a fine light and dark brown grain, complementing the ‘chunky’ bowls.
The bowls and spoon have a black and white camel bone detail. This has been created using a dying method which has been traditionally used for 1000s of years. Its called ‘Batik’. Part of the camel bone is coated in wax, before it is dipped in dye. The parts covered in wax retain their original color, the rest take on the color of the dye. The napkin rings are made entirely of camel bone.
This set is very practical to use for pick-nicks and barbecues. Its durable nature makes it ideal to everyday use at home too.
The spoon and fork are 10 inches long and their heads are 2.75 inches wide.
The salad bowl is 11 inches wide and 3.5 inches high.
The salad cream bowl is 4 inches wide and 2 inches high.
The 6 napkin rings are 2 inches wide and 1 inch thick.
